The English actor Idris Elba celebrated his 48th birthday on September 6. The actor’s wife, Sabrina Dhowre Elba wished husband on Instagram with his photo.
She captioned the picture,
Waking up to this face is the best part of my day, you mean the absolute world to me. Happy Birthday my friend, healer, lover, teacher, husband.
The Somali-Canadian model also shared a series of throwback videos on her Instagram story to celebrate his day.
Idris Elba and Wife Test Positive for COVID-19.
The couple married in 2019 after dating for 2 years. Earlier, in March, Idris Elba was diagnosed with COVID-19. The Luther actor shared a video on his Twitter to announce the news. He revealed that he did not have any symptoms of the virus.
I got tested because I had realize I got exposed to someone who had also tested positive. I found out last Friday thay they were tested positive, I quarantined myself and got a test immediately and got results back today.
Later, on Oprah Talks COVID-19, the couple shared with Oprah Winfrey that Sabrina quarantined with her husband despite the fact that she could contract the virus. Although she didn’t show any symptoms, she too was tested positive for COVID 19. She said:
As soon as I heard that Idris was potentially exposed, I mean, I was on my way anyway, I wanted to be with him. I think that’s an instinct as a wife. You just want to go and take care.
Sabrina Dhowre Elba shared her experience of the viral disease with Grazie UK.
At the time that we got sick, the media was pushing hard on how dangerous it was.
Sabrina Dhowre Elba said that the diagnosis left them terrified.
Moreover, she added,
At one point, Idris really thought that this could be the end. He has asthma. He is older. It was really scary. That kind of unsureness about what’s coming next leaves you with a bit of anxiety. But having been sick and being okay also now gives you this new lease on life. I want to be super appreciative of evrything
The couple defeated the virus together and now are healthy and celebrating Elba’s birthday.
